Faculty and Staff Volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank Sort-A-Rama

UNC Charlotte faculty and staff volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina Sort-A-Rama held at the Charlotte Convention Center on Wednesday, September 28th. The University was a sponsor of the event. Niner volunteers packed 842 boxes of food for families in need in our region. Overall, 16,000 boxes were packed by over 650 volunteers during the half-day event. In addition to UNC Charlotte, the Sort-A-Rama was sponsored by Food Lion, Atrium Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Equitable, TIAA, Armstrong, Crescent, Duke Energy and Jackrabbit Technologies.
